Rehab Unit to celebrate renovation with Sept. 18 open house, free health screenings

An open house to celebrate the renovation of the Baptist Hospital East’s 29-bed Rehabilitation Unit will be from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and again from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18.
 
This open house will include several free health screenings, including atrial fibrillation, body fat analysis, blood pressure, posture, hearing and bone density (heel test). 
 
Tours of the unit will be given, where participants can view a new nursing station, along with updated décor, flat screen televisions, new wallpaper, tiles, paint, and cherry wood cabinetry in common areas and patient rooms. Refreshments will be served.   

The Rehabilitation unit at Baptist East, located on the fourth floor of the 4002 Building, is designed to provide care for patients with either a neurological or orthopedic disorder -- such as a stroke, brain injury, amputation or hip fracture. The facility offers both inpatient and outpatient services.
