Baptist East, United Healthcare reach agreement
Baptist Hospital East and UnitedHealthcare announced today that they have renewed their contract. The three-year contract means that Baptist Hospital East will remain a participating provider in the UnitedHealthcare network.
“We know this is welcome news to our patients who are also UnitedHealthcare customers, so they can continue to come to their hospital of choice: Baptist Hospital East,” said Stephen Warren, vice president and chief financial officer of Baptist East. “We greatly appreciate their patience and support throughout the contract negotiations, and are pleased to deliver the positive resolution we sought to achieve.”
"At UnitedHealthcare, our primary goal is to provide our members with access to high quality healthcare while keeping services as affordable as possible,” said Dan Krajnovich, CEO of UnitedHealthcare of Kentucky. “The renewal with Baptist Hospital East provides current and prospective customers with additional access to high quality health care services in the Louisville area.”
Baptist East has been a UnitedHealthcare provider since 1998. The hospital accepts a number of other insurance plans.
