The Baptist Hospital East Home Health Agency offers mental health services to homebound individuals who have recently been in the hospital or are having increased symptoms of a psychiatric illness. Our mental health nurses have specialized knowledge, skills and abilities and can provide the following services:

• assessment of a patient's response to medication and intervention if side effects occur,
• counseling patients suffering from depression caused by a chronic medical problem, pain, or grief and loss issues, and
•  teaching patients and care givers about mental health issues, symptoms and medications.

Your physician or psychiatrist can order a mental health nurse to work with you. You may also receive home services from therapists, aides, social workers and the chaplain, if needed.
