Losing a limb means losing a part of yourself. But it doesn't have to mean losing your independence, your ability to walk or many of the activities that you enjoy. The Amputee Clinic at Baptist Hospital East can help you recover from a lower limb amputation and get on with your life.
Located on the fourth floor of the 4002 Building at Baptist East, the Amputee Clinic begins at 9 a.m. on the first and third Thursdays and second and fourth Mondays of each month. Staffing includes physicians, physical therapists, prosthetists and occupational therapists, all of whom are experienced in working with lower limb amputations.
Whether you have had a recent amputation or you are just having problems with your already acquired prosthesis (artificial limb), anyone can attend the clinic, with a referral from your doctor.
