Since 1991, the Jefferson County Health Department and Baptist Hospital East have sponsored the Rock 'n' Relax Room at the Kentucky State Fair. The Rock 'n' Relax Room provides a comfortable atmosphere where mothers can breast or bottle feed, rock and/or change their babies in privacy.

The room is open during the fair from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and is in the South Wing. The room features:

• Handwashing facility
• Sanitary changing area (with pull-off papers)
• Disposable diapers and wipes
• Rocking chairs (donated by Schmitt Furniture, New Albany, Ind.)
• Maternal and child health information
• Door prizes
