The Education and Development Department of Baptist Hospital East supports educational programs for all employees, community healthcare providers and physicians. We provide continuing education programs for all disciplines, inservice programs for employees, leadership development training, safety/OSHA training, and self-study professional development options.

Continuing education offerings include:

• Critical Care Courses
• Clinical Concepts
• General Courses
• Dysrhythmia Courses

In addition, the department operates a cutting-edge Simulation Lab, located on the hospital's first floor.

The department is also charged with shaping and reinforcing leadership skills at Baptist East. The primary vehicle for that is the Leadership College.

The Leadership College offers specially designed courses for newly promoted or newly hired managers and directors (or those identified for succession planning); experienced supervisors and managers (or those with supervisory responsibilities) and those at the director/administrative level.
