The coding area of the Health Information Managemend department is a fast-paced job with lots of growth potential.

Coders review the electronic medical record and assign codes for each diagnosis and procedure. The coders are involved with compliance in several areas of the hospital as well as work with the Clinical documentation nursing staff to get the correct documentation from the doctors on the units.

Minimum CCA required for outpatient coding positions and CCS required for inpatient coding position.

All staff are certiied coders.

Special equipment or technology used includes the 3M encoder and Pathways Image Manager (PIM).
