Look Good Feel Better
The American Cancer Society’s Look Good...Feel Better program is a community-based, free, national service that teaches female cancer patients beauty techniques to help restore their appearance and self-image during chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
Volunteer beauty professionals lead small groups, usually consisting of small groups of women, through practical, hands-on experience. Women learn about makeup techniques, skincare, nail care, and options related to hair loss such as wigs, turbans, and scarves. Each group program participant receives a free kit of cosmetics for use during and after the workshop. Look Good...Feel Better is free, non-medical and brand neutral. Volunteers and program participants do not promote any cosmetic product line or manufacturer. All cosmetics used in the group program have been donated.
Meetings are held the last Monday of every month from 1-2:30 p.m. and the third Thursday of every month from 5-6:30 p.m. in Baptist Health’s Cancer Resource Center, 4007 Kresge Way.
