Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is imaging using strong magnetic fields and radio waves to produce cross-section images of organs and internal structures such as bones and ligaments.

Sometimes a dye (contrast agent) is given to show internal structures or abnormalities more clearly.
