Free Prostate Cancer Screenings Set June 11 At Baptist Health Louisville

Free prostate cancer screenings for men age 55-69, who do not have an urologist and have not had a PSA test or exam in the last year, will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 11 at Baptist Health Louisville.

The screening will include a digital rectal exam from a physician and a blood sample for the PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) test.

June is Men’s Health Month – a good time for men to focus on their personal health.
One in every six American men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in his lifetime. African-American men are more than twice as likely to die from the disease. Prostate cancer is the second-leading cause of death for American men.

For more information about the screening, or to register, call the Baptist Health Information Center at (502) 897-8131.
