Baptist Health expands its reach into Jeffersontown area
Baptist Health is providing greater access to its services in an area that ranks among the highest for admissions to Baptist Hospital East. Baptist recently purchased the Jeffersontown Medical Center and has renamed it Baptist Jeffersontown. The building is located at 10216 Taylorsville Rd. Along with the 31,850-square-foot facility, several of the existing services will transition to Baptist-affiliated entities, including the employment of the Jeffersontown Family Practice group.
Jeffersontown Family Practice, has joined Baptist Medical Associates (BMA), and includes five primary care physicians, a physician assistant and a team of support staff, all of whom will transition to the Baptist-employed practice. This practice is the second Baptist Medical Associates physician office to care for Jeffersontown patients; the second BMA office is located at 9569 Taylorsville Rd.
In addition to Baptist Medical Associates physicians, several specialists use a time-share suite within the facility, providing dermatology, cardiology, general surgery, gastroenterology, nephrology (kidney care), podiatry, obstetrics/gynecology and orthopedic surgery expertise.
Baptist Jeffersontown will also offer Baptist Urgent Care for minor illnesses and injuries, open evenings and weekends: Monday through Friday, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Baptist Physical Therapy services, including sports medicine and orthopedics, are also available.
The facility is large enough to provide space for added services and growth in the future.
Baptist Health is excited to offer this facility and these services to patients in Jeffersontown and the surrounding community as a convenient new access point for Baptist Health and to best serve the community and our patients.
