Baptist Health Louisville's maternity video wins Bronze Aster Award
A video about “Having a Baby at Baptist Health Louisville” has been recognized for excellence in a national marketing/advertising competition.
The video, produced in late 2011 by the hospital’s Marketing & Public Relations department, was filmed and edited by Black Horse Communications. Designed to showcase maternity services, the video follows two couples – one who describes their experience in delivering their second child at Baptist Louisville, while an expectant couple illustrates the step-by-step process – from where to register for kangaroo care for greater bonding to NICU expectations.
The Aster Awards program, one of the largest national competitions of its kind, is hosted by Marketing Healthcare Today Magazine and Creative Images, Inc. This elite program recognizes outstanding healthcare professionals for excellence in their advertising/marketing efforts.
The 2012 competition drew nearly 3,000 entries from across the United States as well as Canada and South America. Baptist Louisville’s entry competed with other hospitals with more than 500 beds.
Awards were issued for entries that received top marks from judges placing them in the top 16% of the nation for marketing excellence. Judging criteria included creativity, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal.
“Although our nation has been challenged economically, the talent of healthcare marketing professionals seems to be at an all time high. The 2012 Aster Awards program contained some of the best advertising arguably in the world. The judge’s expectations were again surpassed,” said Melinda Lucas, Aster Awards Program coordinator.
All winners are posted on the Aster Awards website, as well as published in Marketing Healthcare Today, a national healthcare marketing magazine.
