Baptist East repeats as Top 100 Hospital
For the fourth consecutive year, Baptist Hospital East has been named one of the top hospitals in the nation.
Baptist East was selected for the 2007 Thomson 100 Top Hospitals award.
The 100 Top Hospitals awards is based on the 100 Top Hospitals National Benchmark for Success study. Hospitals are scored based on performance in five critical areas: clinical outcomes, patient safety, national treatment standards, operational efficiency and financial stability.
Baptist East is one of only 20 large community hospitals in the nation selected for this award. Large community hospitals have 250 or more acute care beds; Baptist East has 407 beds, of which 356 are acute care.
Baptist East was the only hospital in the Louisville area noted in the study. Hardin Memorial Hospital, which is operated by Baptist Healthcare System, also made the list.
