Prostate Cancer Treatment Options To Be Explored June 28

Fri, Jun 28, 2013 8:30 a.m.

A discussion session about prostate cancer treatment options will be held on Friday, June 28, starting at 8:30 a.m. at Baptist East/Milestone Wellness Center, 750 Cypress Station Drive, in one of the first-floor meetings rooms, near the Center Cafe.

Radiation Oncologist Ben M. Birkead, MD, will lead the discussion about treatment options for newly diagnosed prostate cancer patients, providing objective information that may help men make thoughtful and informed decisions. The discussion will be informal and there will be ample time for questions.

Participants should bring information about their PSA scores, Gleason score from their biopsy and general information about their health and family history to make the discussion more meaningful.

There is no cost to attend the session. For more information, or to register, call the Baptist Health Louisville Information Center at (502) 897-8131.
