Durable medical equipment subject of free talk - Oct. 28

Seniors can learn about durable medical equipment through a free talk on Thursday, Oct. 28 from 4-5 p.m. at Baptist Hospital East.

David Gould from Gould’s Medical will talk about what is covered by insurance and Medicare, and the options that are available. Gould's Discount Medical is one of the largest independent home medical equipment companies in the United States. The company is locally owned and provides medical equipment services to patients with special home service needs in the Louisville and Southern Indiana area.

The talk will be in the Physical Therapy gym on the Rehabilitation Unit, fourth floor of the hospital’s 4002 Building (Building D).

Baptist East’s 29-bed Rehabilitation Unit works with patients and their families to set goals for treatment and individualized care. These goals include addressing emotional concerns, increased movement, improved communication skills and independence.
