Brain Injury Support Group Meets June 19
The Brain Injury Support Group will meet on Wednesday, June 19 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Baptist Health Louisville's Education Center (Classroom 2A), 4000 Kresge Way.
The support group focuses on helping people with brain injuries, their families and caregivers cope with emotions, behaviors and other changes associated with brain injuries. By talking with individuals who are having similar experiences, families can receive the guidance they need to care for their loved one. People who have a brain injury can learn to deal with their anger, loss of self or memory loss.
Healthcare professionals from Baptist Health's Rehabilitation Program coordinate the meetings. Psychologists from the program lead the group sessions.
The Brain Injury Support Group is provided free by the Rehabilitation Program at Baptist Health. It is recognized by the Brain Injury Association of Kentucky. Attendance is open to anyone who has a brain injury and their family members and friends.
